Class Overview
I am a composer, producer, sound engineer and instructor.
As a composer, I write music for concert, film, commercials and produce under the name Ross K. I have had my music performed in London (Royal College of Music, National Portrait Gallery, Britten Theatre), Scotland (St. Magnus Cathedral), Montreal (Pollack Hall, Redpath Hall) among others. I’ve had features on Nowness, Mercedes Benz, Document Journal, and short films screened in Edinburgh (Short Film Festival) and Rome (Museum of Contemporary Art). I am currently a member of BFI Network x BAFTA Crew 2021.
As an engineer, I have recorded in studios, halls, churches and on-location in Montreal, London, Berlin and Toronto and worked as a producer and mixing engineer with artists including Andrea Balency (Mt. Kimbie), Urchin, Mt. Hadley among others. I’ve studied with Richard King (Yo Yo Ma) and George Massenburg (James Taylor, Earth Wind and Fire) while pursuing my Masters in Sound Recording (Tonmeister) from McGill University.
