Clascity is created for everyone to share their talents and for those who want to learn to find the best teachers in their community. Want to play the guitar but don’t know how? Or you see a beautiful handmade jewellery and wonder how it’s created? No matter how big or small, there’s always someone teaching something you don’t yet know about.
Teaching on Clascity
Who doesn’t like stuff that is good and cheap? Clascity is just that. As fellow tutors, we understand that fees are annoying, and that’s why we’re trying to offer as much as possible for as little as possible. We’ve built features such as booking, scheduling, payment, performance tracking, and review that will help you succeed as a tutor. All that for an 8% commission fee (free for students). You may read more about our price comparison with other platforms here.
That sounds good and all, but how does it work?
Getting started is easy, we encourage everyone to teach what they know and at the same time to learn what they don’t. All you’ll need is one account. Want to learn landscape painting? Search for classes near the park! Looking for some activities to do this weekend? You may find someone teaching how to build a sand castle on the beach. Better yet, if you know a secret recipe of a homemade dish, create a class and share it! There is always something happening in your city that can help improve yourself both personally and professionally.
Great! I booked a class, now what?
Once a class booking is confirmed, you’ll be able to instantly see it on your calendar. Don’t worry, you won’t be charged yet, not until the day before your lesson. If, for any reason, you need to reschedule the class, you may do so 24 hours prior to your lesson, and your request will be sent immediately to the teacher.
As a teacher, we’ll hold the funds for 7 days after each lesson, so in case you’d like to issue a refund to your student, you may do so within the 7 days. 1 week after the lesson, the funds will become available for withdrawal to either PayPal (International) or your local bank account (Canada only).
The class went well, is there a way to review my progress?
After each lesson, our system will ask the teacher to provide feedback for the student. Your teacher may also set an objective(s) for the class and mark each objective as “achieved” or “failed.”
My teacher did a great job! How can I tell others about it?
We encourage both the student and teacher to leave a constructive review for each other after the class is finished. Your review will be very useful to help other members make better decisions when hiring a teacher or accepting a booking request. You may also share any classes you like with your friends and family on Facebook, twitter, or any other social media platforms.
I’m ready to teach but I’m not sure if I’ll get any students.
To help you get the most exposure, everyday, our team searches for popular topics on forums and student boards. Whenever there is a post seeking tutors, we’ll always reply to the post with links to our classes on Clascity. When you teach with us, you’re not only advertising on our platform, but also on many other sites around the internet.
That should be all to get you started! If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org. We’re always here to help
