    Class Overview

    Sewing as a highly skilled, specific career and a key role within the fashion industry. So much so that even if you have your sights firmly set on a career as a fashion designer, it’s always a good idea to learn practical sewing skills that inform what’s possible and give you a different insight into how fabrics work.

    Learn how to sew a tote bag, sweatshirt and a whole lot more on this eight week sewing course for beginners.

    Projects Include:
    - Sewing sample book
    - Tote bag with lining
    - Cushion cover with zipper and piping
    - Sweatshirt

    Duration: 8 weeks
    Same Day Same Time 1X a week for 2 hours
    Class Size: 8 students (maximum)

    Classes of three or fewer students are considered private classes. In this instance, you’ll complete all assignments as listed but in six, not eight, weeks.

    - Please arrive to class on time - If you’re going to miss class for any reason, please email in advance to let us know. If you fail to report your absence within 24 hours, your class will be considered a missed session and no make up class will be provided. You’re permitted one make up class per session, as long as it’s taken within the time frame of your course and as long as a spot becomes available during another class.

    Demonstrate the operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial sewing and pressing equipment - Apply sewing techniques to a variety of projects types. - Construct production-ready soft-good pieces. - Perform cutting and construction techniques - Assess a sequence of construction - Formulate professional soft-goods presentations

    Do I need to bring my own machine for sewing class?

    We provide students with machines for our sewing classes.

    Can I return a class after it’s been purchased?

    We do not offer refunds. We can however add a credit to your name which will be valid for 1 year.
