Hello! I’m Ola

Hello!

My name is Ola. I have been an English language trainer for over 8 years now. I hold a BA in English language, literature, and culture. I have done a postgrad diploma in literature and obtained a MA in English studies at Arizona State University. I am also a TEFL certified teacher.

Throughout my career, I've dealt with a various range of learners from all over the globe: different age groups, diverse cultural background, and unique learner needs. My experience as an educator at universities, international schools, and online EdTech organizations has led me to teach Business English, Academic English Skills, American Diploma and International Baccalaureate advanced college placement courses, and many more. In 2020, I received a Fulbright scholarship and training of teaching Arabic as a foreign Language. I was a cultural ambassador at Duke University for an academic year, where I was responsible for Arabic language training, as well as raising cultural awareness. Since then, beside being primarily an English Language coach and Communication trainer, I have been training professionals as they relocate to the MENA region, offering them Arabic language training and necessary cultural integration guidance.

It is my priority to help my learners with language skills along with soft skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to navigate their daily life at work with more ease. My teaching approach could be summarized in one word: student-centered. Curricula and textbooks are only tools that are to be tailored for the best needs of each individual student and the learning outcome they need out of our training sessions. I blend a number of teaching methodologies, ranging from task-based learning, modeling, and using authentic materials, which helps learners directly apply their learning outcomes in real life. Constantly providing feedback and identifying areas of improvement, prioritizing what the student needs in their day-to-day life has proven efficient. The flipped classroom approach is also quite practical, given that the student has the time for self-studying. Flexibility is the most important asset; constantly adapting to learners' needs and motivation level is what keeps the learner invested in the long run and actually helps them acquire the needed skills.

Looking forward to hearing from you and to getting the chance to work with you! Thank you!
