Hello! I’m Carlos

My name is Carlos Campos.
I am a music teacher and have taught professionally for over 20 years. I taught at Berklee College of Music, New England Conservatory, Musicians Institute, Cornel School of Music, California College of Music and Los Angeles College of Music.

In-Studio Music Lessons
I teach music at my studio in Los Angeles which is located in the historical Village Green. My classes are always fun, stress free but with a strong curriculum, organized and dynamic.

Online Music Lessons
I teach music online to students worldwide. I use several cameras to enhance the online music lesson experience. My online students receive a video recording of each lesson plus supporting media.

- Piano: I teach contemporary, classical, pop and jazz piano styles. I teach sight-reading, technique, improvisation, piano repertoire and jazz voicings. I have written college level curriculum for Jazz Keyboard, Chord-Voicings, Technique and Improvisation which has been used at Berklee, Musicians Institute, Cornel School of Music and other music schools.

- Songwriters/Producers: Over the years I worked on giving shape to the songs and ideas of many songwriters and producers. With my songwriting and production students, I work with their melodic development, chord progressions, Hit-Song deconstruction and modeling, and how to create your own music drawing from the best contemporary resources.

- Music Theory: I teach Music Theory, both Jazz Theory and Traditional Four Part Harmony. I also teach Ear Training and Solfege. I wrote a six level course on Ear Training-Solfege which was used at different colleges. My music theory students range from beginners to very advanced.

Adults, children, advanced students and complete beginners are welcomed!
I would love to work with you musically right where you are.

I’m very interested in working with you.
Please send me a message to talk about your musical goals and needs.

I have a website related to my music lessons:
