Class Overview
I cover English Language topics such as grammar, writing, reading (phonics based), spelling, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. Lessons are tailored to the needs of the student. I cover beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. I also have Learning to Read courses where we start with Letters and their sounds and then move on to learning Phonics.
Beginner ESL Course
Unit One: Learn how to say hello, What is your name/my name is..., and emotions. Counting 1-20, How old are you? Country names, flags and What is it?/It is... Classroom vocabulary, Fresh foods vocabulary, What are they?/They are..., Family members, Who is this?/This is..., Colors, What color is it?, Animals, what is your favorite animal?, Body parts, Shapes, Yes, it is/ No, it isn't.
Unit Two: He is/She is, nationalities, emotions, I can..., verbs, What do you like?, Food vocabulary, What is it? Shape, Color, Animal review, Adjectives vs Nouns, Opposites, Is there a...?, Kitchen vocabulary, there is/there isn't, Where is?, Technology vocabulary, prepositions of place, it's_ the _. What are you doing?, verb + ing, pronouns, What is this?, transportation vocabulary, counting, singular and plural nouns, role play, commands, clothing vocabulary

All lessons can be created for the specific needs of the student. Lessons 1-5 that I listed are just examples of lessons in the beginner program. The student's first lesson will vary based on needs.
