    EXPERIENCE, LEARN and CREATE in our Artisan Chocolate Making Workshops

    In groups of 8 (Covid capacity) explore how REAL Artisan Chocolate is made - Healthy, Pure, Energizing, and extremely Delicious. Bring your friend or significant other to dive into the history of cacao and its former use, the harvesting, fermenting, winnowing, husking process, and more.

    Learn, make, play, be creative, and dip your favorite food item into freshly melted, liquid chocolate. We will focus on 75% dark chocolate sweetened with coconut sugar. From this base, you can choose your own toppings and become a chocolatier for a day!

    Everyone will walk home with 2 CUSTOM MADE chocolate bars, some CHOCOLATE ART, and a whole lot of appreciation for chocolate :) through all that is required for the bean to be processed into chocolate.

    Not at all, just some COVID Guidelines to please keep in mind: Please bring your own face mask. There is a sink where everyone can wash their hands with hot water and soap before we begin and anytime during the workshop. You will also be asked to provide your name and phone number upon arrival to track everyone who enters the space. During the workshop, I will kindly ask you to not come in contact with appliances and equipment that are not needed for the workshop. You can come with members of your own household, please advise beforehand. Unfortunately, you cannot attend if you: 1. Have symptoms of COVID-19 2. Have traveled outside of Canada within the last 14 days 3. Have been identified by Public Health as a close contact of someone with COVID-19 4. Have been told to isolate by Public Health Physical Distancing: The workshop takes part in two spacious areas of the Café, so we won’t be crowded.     What kind of chocolate will we be making?

    We are starting from a 75% chocolate base made only from Ecuadorian fair trade & organic cacao, and coconut sugar. You'll then get to add any of the 20+ organic ingredients I will provide for you!

    Is your chocolate dairy free?

    Yes, all chocolate is not only dairy-free but also vegan, soy-, gluten- and cane sugar-free!

    Can I purchase chocolates at the workshop?

    Yes! You'll even get a 10% workshop discount on all my products.

    Does the workshop include sampling?

    Yes! You'll get to sample 10+ different chocolate flavours with very different tasting notes - anything from deep dark 95%, over Raw chocolate ad vegan white chocolate.

    "The chilli and orange peel one has become my favourite chocolate now! The coffee one is also excellent. After tried the chocolate bar here, it’s so hard to go back to the commercial brands. I really enjoy that I can taste the natural sweetness in the orange peel which pairs well with the dark chocolates, but also it’s not overwhelmingly sweet like the popular chocolate brands. Also, physically I can feel the chocolate is giving me energy right away, which was never the case before with other brands. Coffee was my go to energy booster but now I have a second option! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves chocolates. You’ll see the difference after you’ve tried it. BTW, Mara, the owner of the place, is very knowledgeable. I learned so much about the chocolate making process from her and I look forward to her chocolate workshop!"

    What an excellent workshop! Six of us girls had a bachelorette party at The Good Chocolatier last month, and we all loved it! It was full of information about the health benefits of cacao, where it comes from and how it is made into chocolate. Taste-testing the different forms of cacao/chocolate and then making our own chocolate bars was delicious and fun. The kitchen was spacious and clean, with care taken to make the workshop safe during Covid-19 too. Would highly recommend this workshop! Thank you Mara, for your expertise and passion and for hosting such a fun event for us!

    Workshop is led by a passionate young entrepreneur. It is well organized with a section about education about chocolate. We tried different types of beans, nibs, as well as different chocolate types. Mara is passionate and wants to share her knowledge so we can all understand the benefits of chocolate, support the farmers (Fair trade) and take care of our health (as little processed ingredients as possible). The second part of the workshop is hands on with pouring and decorating chocolate bars. Time to learn how to temper chocolate.
