Class Overview

Learn astrology by studying your own chart and the charts of your friends and family. This course will give you the tools you need to interpret natal charts as well as transits (the current astrology).

Each class will consist of an informal lesson, exercises, group discussion, and optional readings and assignments. We'll cover the planets, signs, houses, aspects, and transits--everything you need to know to start doing astrology.

We will take an embodied and experiential approach to astrology, seeking to integrate theory with intuition. We’ll explore methods of connecting directly with astrological energies and ways to use our firsthand experience to deepen our understanding.

• What the natal chart represents
• How astrology works

About Me
My name is Andrea Javor. I'm an astrologer and writer currently living in Vancouver BC, on the unceded Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.

As an astrologer I seek meaning in experience through story, symbolism, and resonance. I believe astrology offers the medicine of a worldview in which Earth and Universe are understood as sacred, magical, and symbolic, and gestures to how we might live in harmony.

I have a psychology degree from the University of Guelph, and also studied philosophy at the University of British Columbia. My astrological training has been in Evolutionary Astrology. I’m currently studying with Mark Jones. I’m also a certified yoga teacher.
